On February 20, 2025, Sakarya University of Applied Sciences organized the "Orientation and Development Seminars Program" for lecturers who have started their duties in various units of our university and for those appointed to the position of Assistant Professor.
The program, which began with an opening speech delivered by our Center Director Assoc. Prof. Dr. Selman HIZAL, continued with presentations by Dr. Lecturer Münevver GÜNDÜZ on "Course Design and Effective Classroom Management," Lecturer Nihal KOCAAĞA on "In-Class Communication," and Lecturer Mehmet YILDIZ on "The Use of Technology and Generative Artificial Intelligence in Education." As part of the general introduction of our university, Lecturer Dr. Faruk YAHŞİ presented the Regulations and Directives of our university, and Dr. Lecturer Fatma Büşra POLAT provided information about Double Major/Minor Programs, Horizontal Transfer, Vertical Transfer, and the +1 Education Model. In addition, Hakan KOCAMAN, Head of the Information Technologies Department, gave an overview of the Information Management System (BYS), Electronic Document Management System (EBYS), Request Management System (TYS), and other systems used within our university. Dr. Lecturer Furkan KORKMAZ, Deputy Coordinator of Quality, also provided information on important points to consider during accreditation processes.
The closing remarks and general evaluation were delivered by the Vice Rectors of our university, Prof. Dr. Oğuz TÜRKAY and Prof. Dr. Sinan Serdar ÖZKAN. At the end of the program, participation certificates were presented to the lecturers who attended the program, accompanied by a photo session.
